BLINDED STUDY RESULTS FOR MLV-LIKE PERIPHERAL BLOOD

A blinded study by Cornell University, State University of New York, USA was conducted to determine whether XMRV or MLV-like virus could be found in 40 adult subjects divided into severely ill with CFS, recovered CFS and a control group. The study indicated the presence of infectious virus in blood more similar to the MLV-like sequences reported by Lo et al (2010) than to the XMRV sequences reported by Lombardi et al (2009).
